Help finding accommodations in LA

So the wife and I are traveling to the Los Angeles area the first week of January, specifically January 4th to the 7th.  We're flying into LAX.  We would like relatively easy access to Pasadena (the Rose Bowl) and whatever major interstate leads to Laguna Niguel.  Anyone have any hotel recommendations?  We tend to stay with the major chains (Hilton, Holiday Inn Express, Country Inns & Suites, etc).

We currently have one recommendation for the London in west Hollywood.

Thanks for any insight/recommendations you can give.

    Hey Roy,

    Tons of hotels, everywhere so just pick where you want to stay and search for lodging. That said, Pasadena is NOT close to Laguna Nigel. If you're driving back and forth between those, be advised that depending on what time you got on the freeway you could easily be looking at 90-120' of driving one way. Monrovia, where I live, is about 12 miles east of Pasadena so marginally closer to LM, ie, you'd want to take the 210 freeway between those two cities. Lots of hotels here and Dino has a bike or 5 you could borrow. Though he's likely 54c and you're probably 56c?
