WKO+ and Zero Values

During my workout tonight for some reason my Garmin Edge decided to drop a bunch of data; meaning the unit stopped picking up values off and on in the middle of a lap.  In WKO+ how do I blow away all these zero values to smooth out my interval and get an accurate NP value.  Thanks all.

  • I have just started using WKO+ myself so I can't really help you with that, but I am curious what power meter setup you were running when these data dropouts occurred? I'm assuming it's a wireless ANT+ meter, because well it has to be to work with the Edge 500.

I've heard various reports of Edges and 310xts dropping data during recording, in some instances it proved to be the actual units themselves and in others it was caused in part by weak antennas in the first generation Quarq Cinqo's. I had a dropouts a few times before I moved my 310xt to my stem, but I just spoke to Mieke from Quarq last week and they upgraded my electronics pod to the new unit, factory calibrated my crank and rings and had it back to me within the same week at no cost to me. I love those guys.

  • I'll usually create a new file by copying all the good data to a new file. Just do it in sections in the graph tab by selecting, copying, and then pasting data to the end of the new file each time. I find that if you try and "cut" the bad data, it sometimes makes a mess of the summary data in the workout.

  • Going to the Data View in WKO+ (looks like a spreadsheet when it's open) and cleaning up there might be helpful.

Or Export the file as a CSV, bring it in to EXCEL and clean it up there, save back as a CSV and bring it back into WKO+

  • @Cary.  Thanks alot.  The data view edit did the trick.
