A couple of us who ride a lot were passing this around and one of our buddies who just started riding ~2 years ago showed up. We totally sold him on the idea that this is how every cyclist evolves and if he's not doing most of these tricks by Year 5 then he isn't progressing as he should be. Poker faces all around.
Poor guy. I'm afraid he's about to ride his bike off his picnic table or something. Hope he doesn't break his bike.
The tricks are awesome after you edit out the mistakes. But is anyone truly surprised at the outcome? It's a terrible tragedy, but not an unexpected one when you play with fire day in and day out.

From the Colnago email advertising this video, which I read after a friend sent me the link:
"Legendary trials rider Martyn Ashton performs a series of unbelievable stunts aboard his Colnago C59 Disc.
The film is not just an astonishing show of skills, but also deeply poignant as Ashton was seriously injured during
the making of the film; he is now paralysed and in a wheelchair. The project has been finished with the aid of riders
Danny MacAskill and Chris Akrigg adding their riding talent to the mix."
Uhh, not good. I've (nearly) been there, and I'm not so sure I want to endorse what these guys are doing after I learned that.
his injury gives a different mood.
i have seen his friend mackaskill's mountain bike films. he has been seriously injured too, in the past, from this stuff.
