Thanks Gonzalo, It will be interesting to see how we both progress!
@Joe, I have followed the Advanced out season plan as much as my schedule has allowed. I was in Hawaii over Thanksgiving week and did not bike at all. This is my first year with power. Also my first year doing workouts on a trainer. I have been working much harder on the trainer than I did outside over the past several years. Those Vo2 intervals have been kicking my butt! I would say I rode longer outside in years past, but not as intensely as indoors on the trainer.
I did not get my workout done today. Exhausted does not even begin to describe how tired I am. My girls had their last day of school yesterday, and that evening was the school's candlelight celebration, which celebrates all the traditions / religions the kids in the school represent. Afterwards, we went to dinner with friends. Beautiful celebration, great dinner = tired, tired, tired. Hoping to hit run tomorrow.
Got the ride started this morning and had a bit of trouble hitting the new numbers in the first 15 min. Then my wife needed an immediate repair on cross country skiis and my mom called about timing of Christmas events.... I finished my second 15 minutes stronger than my first and just knew it was more important to get upstairs to the family and keep earning the SAU's. The work got done, but no extra time. All good as I am still suffering leg soreness from the 5k run test. Hoping for a nice skate ski tomorrow.
75 degrees in central Va. yesterday, got out for my first roadride with new powermeter. My numbers are all over the place. No wonder I was bonking on longer course runs! This is going to take some practice.
Since my numbers did not change during my test this week, I did not have any issues hitting my 2x15. I did my first at 1.01 and my second at 1.02 with 30min at .86%. It was nice not to have a run or swim today, so we had a team mate over for a ride and then we broke bread together.
@Mark, be patient with yourself and the powermeter. It took me several months to smooth out the power output and it it's still jumpy. I set my Harmon up to do a3 second average.
Jennifer- those are very impressive numbers and a fabulous improvement!
Mark- yup, riding w power and keeping things steady is a skill. U now have the tool to help u!
Brenda-great work!
Remember when I was happy about my FTP bump earlier this week? I was cursing that bump this morning. Very hard, especially since I did run test yest. Managed .96If and .98IF for the 2 x 15'. Nothing extra. May go out for an easy run w the wife since it is abnormally warm here today and hate to pass up doing something outside!

So inspired to read everyone's numbers!
Cheers!
2x15 with the new numbers felt surprisingly good. I followed it with 15 minutes at .85.
Looking forward to the run today.
