Christmas Garmin 510

I have moved from my LYC to a Garmin  510. I spent a few hours learning myself up last night and used it for a test ride this AM.

I cannot find a way to keep the back light on longer that 2 min and I want it on all the time as the device is hard to see?

Is there a data display setting field that will display interval time?

When I hit the interval button is there a data display setting that will show my NP for my new interval as it seems to just show the whole ride?

David - I just end treated myself to one as well and have only used it once, so I'm still playing with it. No idea about the backlight, but for the intervals, I used Lap NP and when you use hit the interval button, it will reset that field for that interval. I'm migrating from my 910 watch, so it's nice to have the extra fields, but trying to figure out what to put where. Good luck!

@ Ray thx however I don't think there is a way for the 510 to stay on longer than 2 min.

Hi David,

Go to the "Tools" menu from the home screen. Then select "System" and then "Display". This will give you the option to keep the backlight continuous on.

Btw, this feature was very useful during the recent 5 day blackout in Toronto - hitting all the numbers in the dark!!

when you press the power button the brightness screen should appear and I think the first option (you may have to scroll) is leave on
