Adding Olympic Race to schedule

I have my season road map but somehow I omitted adding the HITS Grand Junction Olympic Distance race on May 18 to the schedule.  What the best way to incorporate this Olympic distance race?  Thanks.

Ok, not changes required to your Season RoadMap for that race. That said, I think you should consider not doing that Crescent Moon sprint the week before Boulder. It's not going to do anything to help your HIM.

  • Got it. I will be dropping The Crescent Moon Sprint. Maybe I'll head down and volunteer. Thanks!

  • Dear Coaches,

I think I can probably answer this on my own, but…

With my work schedule the OS plan would fit easier into my life if I move some of the workouts around.  This week I am off Monday but work 12.5 hour flight shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  On the days I work flight shifts I am out of bed at 0600 and back in bed between 2200 and 2300.  Reading through some of the other threads I could be a tough guy and get up at 0430 or 0500 to bang out workouts but the rest of my day at work is often trashed and not as productive as it should be because I am tired, which in my industry is dangerous!

So rather than have Monday a day of rest I moved Thursday's workouts to Monday and shift the week down a day or two.  Essentially, rest days become the days I am working.  Some days I can get up at 0500 and get up to 45" of a workout in.  What issues do you see with moving workouts around the week in order to get most if not all of them accomplished?  Thanks.
