Hey Patrick - Thanks for the webinar today, was very helpful.  How do I schedule my first time call with you?

Thanks again, very excited to be a member of Team EN!

  • Nevermind Coach P I was able to find the link to schedule a call.  Looking forward to speaking with you.

  • @Ben, no worries...looking forward to it!
  • Hey Coach P - Apologies if I've missed this, but are the "Get Faster" bike plans uploaded into trainer road?  I can't seem to find them.

    Thank you!

    -Ben

  • Ben, they are not, sorry! But you can manually create them if you want....
  • OK cool, no problem at all I didn't realize you can do that in TR, very cool.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Coach Patrick -

Coach Rich recently implemented a marathon training program for me and suggested I reach out as I am doing two marathons in two weeks including the Denver Rock N Roll Marathon and the NYC Marathon two weeks later. I'd love any advice on how to manage, prepare, etc.! Thank you!
  • Ben, you are sick! What are the goals for each race? And have you done (A) a marathon yet and (B) either one of these before? More info will set me up, in the meantime you can head over to the running section of wiki and find a bunch of marathon stuff there: http://members.endurancenation.us/Resources/Wiki/tabid/91/Default.aspx?topic=Running+Master
  • haha it wasn't exactly intentional.  I signed up for Denver with a bunch of friends and then was offered a spot in NYC so I couldn't turn that down.  I honestly don't have particularly lofty goals, I've never done a stand alone marathon but have done 4 Ironmans.  So I am curious to see what I can do in a marathon but given the training this past year for Lake Placid, I'm OK with giving a good effort here but not necessarily putting my best foot forward.  I'd love to think I could do around 3:30, plus or minus.  NYC is definitely the A race of the two.  Thanks for the wiki link I'll browse through

  • Your fitness is there, so it's more about keeping the run up, getting really good a fueling (and recovery) and then using Denver as your "last long run" before NYC. Let me know if you have more specific questions about the run plan.

One thing -- i suggest you work in a day of recovery to keep yourself healthy and sane! image
