Hi coach Rich,

Season planning question for you (I can submit a new survey if that helps).  Specifically how to handle the month of June. My challenge is the I am going to have a two week (+/- a few days) hole in my schedule due to a vacation with my wife that is most likely going to fall somewhere between the  5th & 21st of June. Going to Alaska Hiking/camping/sightseeing & hopefully some fishing. My wife is a teacher so the dates would coincide with the end of her school year & because of snow days we are not sure of the exact date.

So, the first race on my schedule is an Olympic distance on June 7th (Elkhart Lake). I like this race because its just down the road from my house. I'd also like to do the Rev3 70.3 @ Wis.. Dells on June 22nd. With this set-up I could use the Olympic distance as a B race or race rehersal for the Rev3 two weeks later & have a nice two week taper (vacation) in between races. Does this sound like a good idea? Or, should I just focus on one of the two races.

Also planning on racing the Door County 70.3 on July 20 & Ironman Wisconsin on September 7th. I don't want the stuff in June to mess up my training for July & September, so I'm looking for some training plan advise.

Currently I'm on week 11 of the November OS.

Thanks
