Philip Mazza's Macro Thread

Hi.  Its great to be back on the team.  And...I already have a question.  I'm in for IM Boulder.  I'm on week 9 of OutSeason. But the week of the Jan 13th and 20th I will not have access to my bike.  I'll be able to swim and run, but the only bikes I'll have access too are some very crappy spin bikes.

Question:  Do I do the 2 week swim camp for those two weeks and then pick the OS when I return? (and extend the OS right up to the GF session?)

Or do I just forge ahead as best I can on very crappy spin bikes the two weeks on the road?

 Thanks, Philip

Just turn those two weeks into a run camp (run 5-6/wk, if you can) and we'll sort out "what then" when you get back. Bonus if you can swim for recovery and there is such a wide range of varying crappiness of spin bikes that it may not even be worth it. Maybe spin for recovery if you want.

Short answer is that you're so far away from Boulder that ^this^ doesn't really affect anything. No worries.

  • Groovy...works for me. Thanks for the quick response.
