Swim Clinic Input

Just came across this and it is pretty cost effective so I wanted to share, as well as get some input from the team.  I have done some swim clinics (With Karlyn Pipes-Nielsen) but since I don't focus too much on swimming while the run is my limiter, I think doing high-ROI activities, where I can improve my stroke, isn't a bad idea.

I guess it depends on how many students are in the class regarding how much coaching time you personally will have. Also for me I have always found these to be information overload. Too much crammed in to too little time. I would rather pay for a quality one on one session.

  • Also, consider the intended audience for this. It seems to be directed towards adult swimmers who compete in the "short" races on the Masters' circuit - 100s, 200s, 400s, IM, not our 1-2+ mile swims followed by biking and running. Total Immersion courses, or even a tri-spcific clinic might be a better use of $ and time. Also, +1 on the one-to-one coaching, again with someone who understands the goals of the triathlete-swimmer.
