Brett's Macro

Adjusted for the Tri Camp Week.

Not sure if this is best here or in the Camp Week thread, but I am racing IM Boulder (Aug 3) and looking to include the Camp Week.

If I move the Camp Week to end of week 17 (4 weeks before the race, 28-30 days out) I can take advantage of July 4 and not need to take additional time off work to fit in the training.

Do think it is problematic to delay camp week until this close to race day?

    Hey Brett,

    Yep, you should be fine.

  • Simple and straightforward.  Thanks...looking forward to the back to back centuries....now, back to the trainer for the OS.

  • Rich,

I'm preparing to exit the JOS, still aiming for IM Boulder as my major event for the year. I had planned on doing an Oly in early May, but opted for a super-hilly sprint on 5/17.

I haven't been in the pool much at all since last summer; and simultaneously, I'm not feeling too good about my run right now. Slower than I was 2 years ago, and I've missed a bunch of the Tuesday runs through the OS.

I'm trying to figure out how to spend the time between 4/13 when JOS ends and 5/11 when I'm scheduled to start the IM Plan. I don't think I'll need any recovery time after OS, Either Get faster or Run Focus.
  • Hey Brett,

GF is a better fit for you, as it has the swim built in. Pretty sure the RF doesn't have that. Good luck!
