Adding an extra .5M to my season

Rich,

  I need some advice. There is an inaugural local half marathon (my employer happens to be the main sponsor!) on April 6 the day before I load up the 12 week plan leading to IM Austria. I'm scheduled for another .5 M on March 15 (and have decided to race the half lite Devilman on May 4). My goal this year is to do a good job in Austria and I don't want to screw it up by adding a .5 M right before I start the 12 week IM plan. 

That said it'd still be nice to run a strong local race . Is it a smart move 4 weeks after another .5M and a day before I get into the heavy stuff? 

FWIW I generally recover pretty quickly after a .5M but at 59 I don't want to get myself in too deep a hole. Thanks.
