Christine's Training Questions

I just jumped in to the HIM beginner plan a couple of weeks ago.  I am unclear about what to do when the training box gives a time in bold in the upper right hand corner, but the workout does not take that long.  Should I complete the workout and be done, or "fill-in" the rest of the time with something else to complete the "designated workout time?"

I am training for Oceanside 70.3 on March 29th.  Thanks

Christine

  • @christine...if the workout specifies that you should "Do the remainder in Zone 2 to Zone 3, as you feel" then yes, you should extend it. But if the workout calls for 2500 yards in 60' and you get it done in 45, you can just stop!!!

    Hope that helps!

  • My training today calls for a 45 min run, a 60 min bike, and a 30 min run. That seemed odd, as I haven't seen this before and my friends on the same Oceanside schedule have the bike/run only today. Thought it might be an error. Pls advise. Thanks

  • @christine, what plan and what level? Sorry....
  • HIM beginner plan for Oceanside on March 29th. I ended up just doing the 60 min bike/30 min run. The "pre" 60 min run just didn't seem like anything I had seen before. Especially given where we are in the program. Looking forward to the call tonight.
  • Good call..I will fix that ASAP. Thanks for helping us out!
