steady out - mod hard out

Saturday 50 min
MS: Steady run as MP/Z2/Steady out, HMP/Z3/Mod-Hard back.

I've got a question about the 50' duration of this work out.  Is that the duration of the main set so that I would run 25' at Z2 and 25' at Z3?  or does that include WU and CN?  thanks

  • @John the Saturday run is usually part of a Run/Bike combo session (and the lack of a main set confirms that for me); in this case it's just a run. If you do it off the bike, you should be all set to split it 25/25. But if you are running first and it takes 15 minutes to get loose (or you want to do a true warm up), then split the _remaining_ time.

    50 minutes minus 15 minutes warm up = 35 minutes, split as 20' @ MP/Z2 and 15' at HMP/Z3.
  • thanks coach  it usually takes me about 30 minutes to transition from my bike in the pain cave to the health club for the dreadmill.  i'll add a 5 to 10' wu and try to hit main after that.
