Week 5 OS FTP test
I'll fire up a micro thread for Coach P but wanted to get collective EN thoughts/experiences on this.
So I came in to the OS with a 217 FTP, end of last year my 4th OS I was at 260. There was significant time off etc. I this year's initial test test was pretty representative and now am overachieving. Today's workout which a hard OS workout for me say 8.5/10 was as follows: 2X12' @ 1.05 1.07 (228&231 watts) 2X15 .89;.90 (194&195).
So my thoughts are to do one more week overachieving going on RPE then retest beginning of week 5. I could retest on Tuesday but am considering another week to max out the lost FTP and secondly the Wednesday following week 5 I will be on holiday's without a bike for 7 days.
I've never tested off schedule in the OS so please provide insights or any advice.

So I tested today. I figured a Saturday was good because I could push really hard on the bike this morning and do the run tomorrow afternoon/evening leaving a good amount of recovery time between hard wko's and then by Tuesday's run be back on schedule. I figured if I tested on a Tuesday I may put myself in a hole by the time Thursday's wko comes around.
