Cool, sounds good! Say hi to Mike for us!

  • First race of the year at Hyannis Half Marathon. The only real reason to go to Hyannis from Nantucket. I entered into the Clydesdale Division 6/78 360/278. Ran a 1.39.53 so a good training day. Weather was a balmy 45 degrees. Relied on my watch which was not calibrated. Need to improve and be more disciplined with pacing myself, felt very good throughout the course. Suffered the last couple of miles.

Congrats! Sounds like a good race and you got lucky with the weather!

  • I was wondering what the policy is. I have paid for Lake Placid camp, I am deciding not to do the camp. Can i get refunded or I do need to try and sell to another person possibly going to the camp.
  • Hey Simon,

Patrick runs the IMLP camp so please reach out to him directly. Thanks.
  • Rich so I have decided to do both races at Quassy. would you like your insight/stragedy on how best to create a race plan for that..

    Thanks

Ok...just promise you're not going to race in drag

What are both races? Oly and HIM on back to back days? Which is first?

  • Rich one and done on the drag show.. Hopefully your eyes have recovered..

Olympic will be on Saturday so that is on the first race and Half will be on Sunday..

    Thanks

    Which is your goal race?

    • If Oly, race it like an Oly and just do the best you can on Sunday for the HIM.
    • If HIM, turn the Oly bike and run down a tick. Hard to say what a "tick" would be, but if it were me race the Oly one tick below "totally crushing myself" effort on the bike, and dial back the Oly run by ~15-20" per mile...or more, depending on how much/little I wanted to suffer on the HIM the next day
