Finishing the Out Season w bronchitis

Well, my outseason is closing out pretty poorly as I have had bronchitis for about a week and have done little to no training for the last 7 days.  Have not hit any of my tests this week and am just trying to get well and figure out how to reset.

The good -- Ran a 10K PR on 18 Jan setting a new VDOT -- 39:25, VDOT 52 and change.  The bad, probably not even going to run the half marathon in New Orleans that I'm signed up for this weekend. Frustrating to say the least.

Bike power has come along well -- my most recent test put me within 10 watts of my season max from last year.  So while I'd hope for more gains, I'm much further along than at this point last season.

Trying to stay positive and get well.  Then I'll figure out how to reset my training.

  • That sucks Mark. But dial down and take care of yourself.  Being sick is even worse when you are active, however you bounce back quick. Hope you get better ASAP.

BTW a 39 minute 10k is  a different kind of sick!
