SoCal Peeps advice needed

So I had to drive from NorCal to LA (staying in Baldwin Park) early because my uncle died on Sunday.   Long story short... where is a decent place to do a 30ish mile ride around the area?  I have some free time this afternoon.  I have IM 70.3 oceanside on Saturday, so I don't need a 'killer' ride, just some where that I can go for a nice easy ride away from so many cars and stop lights.

    Peter, you're probably about 6 miles from my place. Post your address, I'll check out MapQuest and give you some directions. There are a couple bike paths near you that you could jump on for a nice ride.

    Rich, Cool thanks... I'm at the Residence in right by the 10. 14635 baldwin park down center dr. I don't mind driving to a place either. If you are around and need to get an easy ride it today or Wednesday morning, let me know. I'm kinda just waiting around for the rest of the family to fly down here on Wed afternoon.     Not sure if I know how to ride easy these days, but I can try .

    If you want, meet me at my place at 5p. We'll drive over the Rose Bowl. I'll show you around there (very pretty area) but will avoid the crazy hills. I'd like to drop down into the Bowl for 2-3 laps of a crit-like ride. You can do your own thing (will be about 20' at the pace they ride), meet back at my truck. BBQ and 32oz Newcastle out of a mason jar afterwards, if you're interested
