Work Conflict with IMTX training

Good morning,

I would love some guidance on what to do over the next few weeks. I was supposed to transition out of my Swim Focus back to week 8 of IMTX training. My 1000 Swim TT was a little over 2 minutes slower than my last 2013 1000TT. It looks like I have a lot of work to... 

To complicate my training I will be attending a week-long meeting in Vegas.  You know you are a triathlete when you don't look forward to going to Vegas at the fear it will mess up your training.

I will be able to run a little and access the hotel gym.  How should I transition back into the IMTX training plan?

  • Eric...week 8 is an okay week to come back...week 9 is when we get really serious. This week I would just focus on getting in the interval and long run as best you can. All other days are 30 to 45 minutes of cardio, however you can do it -- slots not an option! The biggest thing about Vegas is just not getting sick or too worn down from the craziness...or gaining 5 pounds...if you can avoid the monster pitfalls, we can work you through week 9 and beyond!
