wheel choice for FL 70.3

I am renting a Trek Speed Concept from a local store for the race ( wanted to save some $$$ by not having to ship my wife's and my bike for this race). I spoke to them yesterday and asked if it would be possible to change the wheels on them. I have a front FLO 60 and just ordered a powertap rear ( not carbon). To use the FLO, they would have to change out the break pads (said it was $30 per set, and mine to keep afterwards). I am assuming I can just interchange the rear wheel,unless I use the disc cover. In that case I assume I would have to change the rear break pads as well. Is it worth paying an extra $60? Or do I just go with changing the rear wheel to be able to use power?

    If you aren't even using your own bike, and assuming you don't see yourself in the hunt for the podium, why not just race by RPE and enjoy your vacation without dragging wheels?
