Rob's micro thread - proposed schedule change

Good idea or not :

Because of work, I will miss today's scheduled (marked high priority) workout OS Int Thursday week 12 (bike zone 5 intervals). I'm planning to make up tomorrow (scheduled rest day) and then continue with the rest of the weekend as on the plan.

Your help is always appreciated.

  • Well I sort of rested. I didn't do the scheduled bike as I was in-house over night call in the ICU but I did sneak away to the pool we have on base next to the hospital. Just some drills to work on my form while waiting to start my swim camp. I was able to hammer out Thursday's workout this afternoon following several resuscitative cups of coffee. Hopefully the rest of the weekend follows as scheduled without a hitch.

  • Overall a good weekend. I felt great on the bike saturday - held all power/interval goals. However, it took me awhile to hit goal pace on the run - I guess that's why they call them bricks as my legs were just that. Admittedly i didn't finish the last 15 min of the goal 50 minutes on the run as my quads started to cramp- I walked home. On the following day's run, I crushed the 400M intervals, holding all of them faster than the targeted interval pace and then ran the remaining time of the hour at HMP. Off to start week 13 of the OS Int!
