i have deadlines on registration and need advice

I am on USAT team for Edmonton (short course, meaning Olympic length) August 28 through September 2nd. Race is on the 1st of September. and I have 70.3 world championship on the 7th in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. the first trip sounds fabulous although I'm not really a short course person. should I do both races? And if not, which one should I do? I'm really not going to win either one but it's the experience I'm thinking about.

I've done full IM in Quebec before but would love to do the world 70.3 there.  this is my favorite distance. ... and the swim is awesome!!!!

  • Easy - if you can afford the time and expense then do both World Championships just so you can say you did! Edmonton will be your warm up.
  • Go for it. As long you don't expect A performances at both, but you may do great at both. EIther way you can definitely enjoy both.
  • Pretty cool opportunity and I think you'll be fine as long as you recover hard for a couple days after the Olympic. I'd be more concerned about that much travel and admin stuff vs the actual racing.

  • thanks, guys! okay. I will work on logistics. Thanks for the support! I agree Rich. I'm thinking train ride across Canada during that week. just me and my bke image and maybe an I pad
