Workouts Week of Feb 24
So it has been pointed out to me that spring comes earlier in the south than some other places. April 19 is thus considered a really early spring race. Thus, it seems like this forum traditionally doesn't pick up steam until later when spring finally hits the rest of the country. Regardless, I am going to make it my mission to recruit more EN members from the warmer climates to stimulate things and forge ahead.
Looking ahead on the training plan, I will be in week 13 of the HIM intermediate with another busy weekend to look forward to. Since I will be out of town for my daughter's scholorship competition, I may have to hack the plan to get my bike miles in. More info on that later.
Have a great week and be careful out there, I almost got flattened Friday by some dude rolling a stop sign.

I took a nap after my Bike / Run this AM and noticed that I would not be able to get to the pool tomorrow due to travel.
SO.. I tried to squeeze in a swim session today instead.
Moderate fail since the pool closes at 5 and I only got in 1750 m but I am calling that better than nothing and taking a recovery day tomorrow since I will be on the road.

BTW, the new Garmin 910 software update seems to have made it more reliable with swim distance for me.
HIM Intermediate wk 13.
Monday was actually pretty good as far as work went so I DID get in my swim.
That meant that I swam Sun and Mon so I bagged the swim Tuesday after my AM run.

The AM bike today was a significant change. After swim camp and the long rides of the past weeks, I had forgotten what a VO2 interval was (and how much it hurt).
Looking forward to a steady pace run this PM.
Having some challenges with the new Garmin connect but re-pairing the 910 seems to have made things better.
Had to hack the schedule this week due to travel.
Swam and Ran long Friday then was not able to get a workout in Sat so I rode long Sunday.

My wife rode the first loop of the bike with me so it was JRA pace + for the first 14 miles but I was still able to get in 50 miles in almost exactly 3 hours.
It will be interesting to see if I can break the 3 hour mark for 56 miles in my RR ride.
