Help with chain ring

Hello, my bike (Felt B14) came with a  52/38T chain ring. I am not a good climber  and been thinking about getting a 50-34 or 52-36. Does anyone know if this would be ok for my bike? I currently have this cassette  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&psc=1

  • Assuming you have the vision 110 BCD cranks, you could easily put 50-34 chainrings on there. You could also just get the 36 tooth small ring and put it on there. Some say this will not shift quite as well as the regular 50-34, but others say it works fine. If your big issue is climbing, you may as well just go all the way to the compact (50-34) and stick with the 11-28 cassette assuming that is what you already have.

Can you take a close up picture of your crankset and drop it in here so we can confirm that is possible to easily switch the rings?
  • if u have a 110 BCD crank, go with a 50/34. U might need to shorten your chain though.
