HELP-Felt 2011 B14 and power meter!

I am trying to figure out what power meter I can use for my '11 Felt B14
Power tap is out of the question as I just got new wheels. Quarq is a bit out of my price range. Stages does not seem to fit with the MEgaExo BB that comes with the bike. I was thinking buying power 2 max (http://www.power2max.com/northamerica/Produkt/most-popular/power2max-fsa-gossamer-power-meter/#!prettyPhoto) does anyone know if it would fit?

Any other ideas....I am starting to lose my patience and I am just not too savvy about bike mechanics.

HELP!

  • Why is PowerTap out of the question?...that is really the way to go...through EN its reasonable cost......Wheelbuilder or whoever Rich uses...can build it into your wheel I think...if necessary...but even if not...unless you have some superduper wheel I don't see a real problem...EN Powertap deal + Wheelbuilder Wheelcover for race day...Ideal....and highly recommended.

  • Try contacting quarq directly. They are taking old PM's in their trade-up program. They may have deals on re-furbished quarq's
  • x2 what Joseph said!!
Although I'm using a P2M on my old-school Scott Plasma and I love it! image
  • Can promise you won't be sorry with P2M....Love mine too image. When I was looking at getting mine, the support was great as far as letting me know if the BB was compatible. It was (I have a Felt B2)....I'm pretty sure it will be fine with yours also, just give them a call.
  • I have a 2011 Felt B16 and I recently got the Power2Max FSA - for an extra $99 I upgrade my rings to Praxis too. My shifting has never been better. Great PM for the price
  • Why not just put a GXP bottom bracket on it (for less than $50) and buy a used GXP Quarq on eBay. You should be able to find a nice one for around $850 give or take. Or if you insisted on buying a new one, you can get a Quarq Riken for $1,299 now. Another alternative is to keep your crankset and buy a set of the Garmin Vector pedals for $1,399.

If you're looking at P2Max (which I also have no issues with) a used Quarq should be about the same price, but likely even cheaper...
