A Better Way to Set Up Computrainer Multirider?
My son has started riding, and now I have this dream of setting up a computrainer multirider system so that we can ride together and have some father-son time. What I see us doing someday is putting in an Ergvideo and riding together or maybe doing a real course or a sufferfest session together. We may also want to do individual workouts on the computrainer using the coaching software or by riding one of the courses included with the computrainer.
From what I can see, I will need a computer to drive the system, a monitor to display the computer/video output and multirider software from racermate. All this is in addition to a second computrainer and any Ergvideos or Real Course videos I want to use.
My first concern is driving a TV from my computer. I haven't done this before. If I were to purchase a standard desktop machine running windows 8, would I need anything special to connect it to a TV?
My next question is can I run Ergvideos without multirider software or do I have to drop $150 to purchase multirider from racermate/computrainer?
Can I run sufferfest videos on my computrainer? I assume both the sufferfest video and the computrainer software would have to be running simultaneously for this to work. Has anyone been successful with this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Edwin, thanks for the contact info. I'll go easy on him, but it's nice to know there is a resource I can call on.
Just an update: I have answered the question about running Ergvideo and multiriders. The computrainer multirider software is required to put multiple riders on an Ergvideo session. I found this in one of the help files out on the web from racermate or Ergvideo, not sure which one.
Also, it looks like if a computer has an HDMI jack the connection to a TV is possible without additional hardware or software.
Thoughs, knowledge, wisdom is still welcome.
