Adv OS wk 9 - VO2 wkout

Hi Coach:

I attempted to do the Adv OS wk 9 - Thursday VO2 wkout last night, 5 x 5 at Z5, The first 2 I tried 5 mins, only made about 2 mins, the last 3 I switched to 2:30 Z5 1:30 easy, barely made these with new numbers from last week, thighs were heavy.  Tuesday's Bike Z4, I made reps 1 & 2, rep 3 I made first 5 mins.  I ran Wed run fine, I didn't overcook, felt great afterwards.  For Saturday should I retry the V02 or stick to the normal Z4 practice, which is more important at this point in OS VO2 or Z4?

  • @JS, want to be clear that you were doing the VO2 at 110% of your power. Not 120%, which is your Zone 5 number. The workout should stipulate 110%. Those 5' intervals are special...we only go 120% for the 30" to 2' intervals....

    I didn't see that, just saw Z5 and blanked the rest out. Thanks for the clarification.
