Found Race Captain Finally
Hello fellow racers
i just thought I would drop a line and tell you that i will be acting as our Team Race Captain for this event -Quality over Quantity
A little about myself- i'm old sorta ,i m a Sagittarius i like long walks off of short piers with a blue-seventy wet suit and my favorite color is clear...no just kidding- I have been with this great Team since 2010 and am sorta a loaner when it comes to training as all my training is mostly in the garage at 3am with the exception of the pool sessions
i have completed the inaugural full and 2 halves on this course so i am kinda familiar with the ins and outs ...i would like to set up a time when we can get together possibly for lunch after the bike drop off( or before -your choice) so we can meet and discuss any questions you may have on this course..its a beautiful and very challenging event with very unpredictable weather adding to its challenge. I am by no means a super fast guy just Hafassed...please feel free to contact me on my cell phone 702 241 0673 at any time..really anytime cause i don't sleep much
James
ps. if anyone is flying in and needs a place to stay or a ride to the event i can accomidate that as well

I am looking at the bike elevation map and laugh out loud, which is common when I get nervous. The Mt Everest at the end - how many walking that baby? DS
@James - congrats and thanks for being race captain!
@Doug - Don't sweat it! Yes, that last climb up snow canyon is steep in parts (some pitches are 12%) but it's also somewhat undulating, meaning you have short stretches that are flat or even slightly downhill. I have found myself passing lots of people on those short flatish sections and at the top where it flattens out. Follow the EN guidance of steady effort throughout and you'll be fine. The scenery is also amazing in this section so you have plenty to look at to keep your mind occupied. Watch the color of the rocks, they change from red to white as you approach the top!
