Importing Courses into Garmin
Hi team - I've been fighting with my mac all week trying to load the TX camp courses to my 500. I've saved it in text_edit, and then tried to drag it straight on to the device in Finder. That was just too easy, and of course it didn't work. I've tried to search the forums for help but was not able to find anything. I'm sure someone out there is a pro at this! Help?

@ Emily....same here. Couldn't get the gpx or tcx format to upload to my Garmin or Garmin connect (I think you have to put it in Garmin connect first?, then download/upload it to your Garmin device. I searched the stupid help forums in Garmin, help pages, googled it....all to no avail. So....yesterday I painstakingly printed out the turn by turn directions from the IMTX email thing Coach P sent and plotted it out in Garmin connect manually....took about 30mins. So, you could try to upload the link below to your Garmin connect account.

I have NOT rechecked it against the turn by turn directions yet, but was very careful as I built it. If you can get it to work for you, please consider double checking it....if you get lost (which means I got lost) don't blame me!
Let me know if that works or not please.

RideWithGPS.com has some instructions to get GPX or TCX files onto it that might help.

I had the same issues Emily and this is what I figured out:
1) I uploaded Jeff's files to Garmin Connect but once I hit send device nothing would happen.
2) After researching I learned to go through Google Chrome vs. Explorer. I also had to reinstall Garmin Communicator Plugin through Chrome.
Once done it did send the course to my 910 XT.

Note/caution: anyone is welcome to the files in my Garmin connect profile, but note that one is IMTX Bike and one is IMTX CAMP....the former is actually Tim Cronk's race day file from last year. The latter is the one I created yesterday...it has the hotel as start/finish, rather than race day T1/T2! Looks like the vast majority of the course is the same, of course, but getting out of town is a little different due to different start/finish spots.
@ Darren...following the instructions in that link you provided worked perfectly on my Mac. Thanks.
