Oil spill in Galveston Bay

That oil spill is only a few miles from the swim of the Texas 70.3.  I'll keep you informed from a local point of view as the days go on.

Although I'm not doing Galveston, I did see the news report about the oil spill and was wondering what impact it would have on the race.

Local chit-chat is the spill is going out to sea in the opposite direction of the swim course (which is in a protected bayou to begin with). Everyone seems to think it will be okay. Nothing official from WTC yet as I'm sure they're keeping tabs on what the government officials are saying.
