This training week is officially over. Today was 3 X 1 mile intervals extended to 80 minutes. I turned the WKO into a commute to work. 4 mile warm-up then I got after the intervals as best I could. The combination of being over dressed, strong wind and generally very little left in the tank did not produce my best intervals. # 1 & # 2 were right at the bottom of my range. I pulled it together for # 3 recorded a 6:38. After that, I only had 4.5 miles to finish. Ended up at 93 minutes.
Edwin thx for posting your story - I just read it this morning when I got up at 5am. My legs also felt heavy and the plan called for the same 3x1mi repeats and it was still dark and cold outside (5°C) and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have done it right away without your post!
Got those intevals done somehow but they felt like Z5 much more than Z4. Pace was pretty good I believe but I was very happy to have it booked for today!
