Short Course week 13 (intermediate)
I am traveling for work Monday - Wednesday next week. Here is what I am thinking.
- Monday morning (don't fly until late morning) Swim as scheduled + do my normal Tuesday interval ride.
- Tuesday - 30 minute zone 2 run as scheduled... perhaps add on 15 to 30 minutes?
- Wednesday - Drop the swim - Normal Tempo run as scheduled.
- Thursday - Will be tired from flying. Hit the bike for sure. Drop the run if I'm tired or time crunched.
- Friday - Back to normal - Swim only.

I like your plan.. Tuesday can be a 45' run with some strides at the end to stay sharp. Wed is good; Thursday is tough. Not a fan of forcing that workout...if anything, this would be the place I'd ask you to flex the most in case things aren't going 100% for you....you might not skip it,but get in a zone 2 to 3 ride of 60 minutes, for example. Travel just adds a whole new level of fatigue we need to be mindful of....then Friday and the rest of the week as planned!
Sage advice about taking it easy the day after the trip Patrick. I'll be mindful of my level of fatigue so that I'm able to hit it hard on the weekend. Thank you!
