Starting over from scratch
Hi there, I need to start over and re-evaluate my training. With all best intentions I registered for IMFL and started the OS plan in January for 3 weeks.... went on vacation and never got back to it.
I originally planned on doing HIM Muncie in July and HIM Rev3 Cedar Point in September as my other races this year. There is a training in PCB in September that I was considering in place of the HIM in September. If I do this, should I do a different actual HIM? I don't think I will be ready for Muncie in July.
I haven't been on the bike except a handful of times in January. I haven't been in the pool yet. I've done some walk running and really not much else. I did a 5 mile walk/run last weekend and completed a half-marathon yesterday with my own walk/run strategy to complete it. (it worked, ran one mile, then ran 3 min/walked 2 min the entire race, ran mile 5-6, and tried to run the last mile but I kept having to stop and walk...finish was 3:05)
I'm below ground zero in my training. What would you suggest for me to rebuild and start over? I have 7 months to get to IMFL ready. 2012 I completed it with huge amounts of training and dedication for 10 months with a time of 16:50. Am I crazy thinking I can do this now? Or can 7 months get me there? My goal would be to finish safely, injury free and vertical in less than 16:50.
Thanks!
Annelise

You can absolutely be ready for an HIM in July and IMFL in November. I recommend you do this:
Put those into the Season Planning Survey and I'll plan it out for you.
Ok, here's to starting again.....
Please update my schedule and I commit to getting to work.
Thanks!
I forgot to add that training the weekend of Sept 4 in Panama City Beach Florida. http://peakracingteam.com/pcb_camp/
