My shift schedule

Hey Rich, so to let you know, I am a little behind on my technology and just figured this out.  So here is my dilemma (and I have a conference call with Patrick later on this week regarding this as well), my current IM training schedule has me doing my big training days on the weekends.  Which if I worked only during the week, would not be a big deal.  However, being a fireman, I work in 24 hr shifts and for the next 8 weeks I will be working on Sat. the first 4 and Sun. the last 4.  Not to mention the 24 hr shifts during various days of the week.  I am sure I am not the first fireman to be a member with you guys.  Other than bouncing all the days around each week, do you have any advice?  Thanks

No, you're not alone. We've found it best to start with a week that you know works for you, and have us give your recommendations. Do this:

    • For one of those challenging weeks, post in the Micro Forum your draft schedule -- "training plan says to do _this_, here is my interpretation of that, based on my personal and work schedules."
    • Patrick will check that out and critique your plan, give you things to think about, etc
    • You then take ^that^ and roll with that template until you need help again.

We've found this method of "you give us your ideas" first to be faster and more efficient, as you're much more familiar with the challenges of your week than we are. So you show us your plan and we offer you guidance to tweak it.
