are we able to adjust my plan accordingly? do I still do the bigger workouts this weekend? and do I just fall back into the plan upon my return?

sorry this may be a micro forum question?

  • Val,
What training opportunities will you have in FL? Sorry, you post isn't very clear about what you will/won't be able to do next week. Thanks.
  • Sorry Rich,

my bad, should of been more specific there.

Florida training days will be in a week from now, wed, thurs , fri, sat,sun and monday (leaving late pm) I will be able to bike, swim and run, However swimming will be the more tough one to do while I am there. I have nothing else going on while I am there, and I am going alone- so lots of time to spend training ( :

I am currently in week 9 of the Intermediate Half ironman training plan.

    thank you!

    Ok, notes:

    • No need to go crazy with volume but you can use the vacation as an opportunity to add a little volume to your existing workouts, and maybe add 1-2 runs to your week. So....
    • Maybe add 30-60' to your weekday bike interval session, as you'll now be outside.
    • Add 30-60' to your schedule Saturday and Sunday rides in your HIM plan, if possible.
    • Then, across your week, consider adding 10-15' to your existing runs and maybe adding 1-2 additional runs, of any length or intensity.

    Good luck!
