workouts week of April 7
This week started with a plop,
Sunday was supposed to be a day off but I swam for the first time in the borrowed wetsuit that I am using for my HIM. it is Only a Large and I am 6' 4" but since it is sleeveless, it actually fit pretty well.
Tuesday AM bike went well.
one hour run today. ironing out nutrition plan for race since the on-course options are limited. Listened to the core nutrition podcast and it Was very helpful.

Negative split with increasing HR and pace over the 6 miles.

Still about a 2min per 100 yd kind of guy but swimming 2200 yds is now no big deal. You get in and you do it. Last year about this time I was having to change to breast stroke about every 400 yes to catch my breath. Also, in my first trial in the wetsuit it cut about 10 sec per hundred off of my time so I am looking pretty good for race day. (compared to prior performance)
no problems. Nutrition pretty much dialed in.
