Leslie's thread - 15K run race Sat

I just signed up for a 15K run/race Saturday to support our local troops.  My husban's an Army veteran and I couldn't turn him down when he asked if I would run with him.  I have a 2 hour bike scheduled for Sat and 75 min run for Sun.  Can I just switch those two?  And is it Ok to add that much running to my week?

  • Leslie - I get it, you got to do it! Yes it's alright to flip-flop those workouts and I would make room for Saturday's extended run time by keeping Friday very easy simple and perhaps just swim only. If you need to adjust the intensity down a bit on the "new" Sunday ride you can do that to accommodate the 15 K fatigue.
  • Perfect - I told my husband we should still do the 2x 1 mile zone 4 during the 15K......not sure he agreed
  • I think he's just worried about beating you to the finish line. I bet he's already sandbagging. :-)
