2nd half of season macro
Rich,
just finished FL 70.3, which was an A race. Next I will be transitioning into the Get Faster plan for 4 weeks and then loading up Ironman plan for 11 weeks. Due to prior commitments on the weekends between now and 5/18 ( when we transition to IM training) we have very limited time to do longer workouts, so I was wondering if it would be beneficial to transfer into IM training sooner to get some more midweek long training in or just keep it the way it is.
Thanks, Jan

All of our weekday volumes, across all of our plans, are pretty much the same with the exception of the Thurs long run in the HIM and IM plan. So switching over to the IM plan won't really "buy" you anything, in that regard. I recommend you stay with the GF plan just modify it as you see fit (add a bit here, do what you can on the weekends, etc).
You've done the OS + HIM, now GF and then 11wks of the IM plan. You'll be more than ready for your IM, no need to move into it now.
