Garmin 910xt upload issue
Anyone know how to load up a bike course to the Garmin 910xt? I've tried uploading a gpx and tcx course from my computer to Garmin Connect to then send to my watch. But it refuses to upload. The Garmin Connect web site sucks btw, if I want to analyze a ride did a year ago i have to click through all the workouts I did after that one by one! That is ridiculously time consuming and stupid. Am I missing something?
Thanks

but if you are looking to see a workout that you did last year in Garmin Connect.....I use the PLAN tab at the top line of the Garmin Connect web page, then select CALENDR from the list. Once in the Calendar view I scroll through the list of months, or go to the year view and navigate from there.
Is that what you are looking to do to navigate to workout files from several months ago, or last year?
Hey, thanks John, Happy Easter, that was a big help. Don't know how I missed that. It solves part II of my question. The other part still is a mystery, i.e., I downloaded a Ride for Autism route from their webiste and tried to uploaded it to Garmin Connect, no luck. I then tried uploading it to the RidewithGPS site and exporting it to my computer as both a tcx and gpx course. That worked. When i tried to upload either to Garmin Connect it failed every time even though GarminConnect says it can upload both types of files. My goal here is to send a course/map to my 910xt so I can use the Course function on the watch when I ride/train.
Then, power on the 510, open the folder icon, open course, voila...there it was!
No, I never did actually get to ride the course, but it was there to use!
Thanks Scott
The Edge 810 and 510 can import .fit, .tcx* and .gpx file(s) into the NewFiles folder. All other files, such as .tcx and .crs, are not compatible with the cycling GPS.
To import the .fit or .gpx file(s):
Plug Edge into computer
Navigate to Edge drive
Navigate to Garmin folder
Navigate to NewFiles folder
Place file(s) to be imported in NewFiles folder
Disconnect Edge from computer
The Edge will convert the file to .fit and move it to the proper folder.
Turns out, once it converts into the .fit format, the file gets moved to the "courses" folder.
