Emily's Tweak to the Week

Hey Coach - You you you!!! Good luck tomorrow! 

Wanted to check in and ask if there was a way to tweak my week a little bit. My family is headed down to Charleston for the weekend. I had planned to take my bike and find a ride down there, but now that my kids are going with us, I would like to spend some time with them on the beach if I can? Can Mike and I try to get our 300 min ride in on Thursday and run RR on Saturday? We will most likely be driving back on Sunday morning, so I'll be able to have either my Sun ABP or swim/run if need be. I recovered pretty good after the long run last week. Let me know what you think. Thanks! EB

    Today: RR Run
    Wednesday:Swim per Friday schedule
    Thursday: 40 min run, 300 Ride per Sat schedule
    Friday: ABP ride
    Sat:Run 45 min Swim 60 min per Wednesday schedule
    Sun: Bike 75 with some FTP work? Test?
  • Emily - sorry for the delay, I'm still in recovery mode. :-) I like your detailed plan with the exception of Friday. I'd rather see you take the day off spend the time of the family. Saturday you can do the work out you have listed and Sunday can just be another ABP ride between 75 and 90 minutes done. Much more concerned about the family time right now as that will sync well with the recovery and set you up for next week.
  • Hey P! Thanks for your help. I was able to get everything in except for a run Saturday due to a sick child. I now how the cold he had, and need an idea of what to do (besides rest) this week to make sure not to mess anything up. I've got 7300 yds in since Monday. Feeling better than yesterday, but not 100% at all. Thanks!
  • 45' easy aerobics a day, bike or run. Swim is bad with a cold. Just stay loose and active so you can jump in when 100%. Note efforts are Zone 1 to 2, nothing hard!!!
