The "Endurance Nation Three Year Plan for Triathlon Excellence" Thead

Team,

A "Three Year Plan" is something that RnP have been kicking around for a number of years and we've finally started to create this as a formal learning product for you.

The main page in the Wiki is here. Please read and then follow the links to the Year One resource. Years Two and Three are under construction.

The introduction:

+++++++++

Welcome to Endurance Nation!

You’ve joined a Team with a training, coaching, and racing system that has been honed for over two decades...across the performances of thousands and thousands of age group triathletes...just like you.

In short, we’ve been waiting for you!

But before you dive into the minutiae of Bike Speed “X” on Race Course “Y” equals likelihood of Finish Time “Z”, we’d like you to step back and look at the bigger picture. If Rich and Patrick were sitting down with you over beers / coffee and discussing “What now?”, we would embrace your focus on the short term, but we’d also gently steer you to a broader discussion -- the Endurance Nation Three Year Plan.

The purpose of the Endurance Nation Three Year Plan is to:

  1. Guide you towards your evolving goals along a proven, continuous, and successful path.
  2. Do so smoothly and efficiently by ensuring you avoid making all of the mistakes we made ourselves (the Rich and Patrick “path” was five to six years...we’ll get you there in three...you’re welcome!).
  3. Save you considerable time and money. The Three Year Plan is not some coaching hocus pocus. It’s about saving you countless training hours...by ensuring you are working with a proven endurance training system. It’s about saving you $$$ races...because we’ve taught you how to race. It’s about buying stuff you need, about registering for races that compliment your goals. It’s about our system of accruing and conserving Spousal Approval Units (SAU) that could even save you hefty legal fees.  image You’re welcome!
