Pat Koss' Micro Thread

I think this might be a little different one for you.

With the tornado here in central Arkansas there is a lot of devastation.  My work is offering free days off for those that want to help with clean up.  I think the clean up will go on for weeks.

I'm in a cycle preparing for IM Boulder.  I just transitioned from Swim Camp to the IM Intermediate plan week 7.  I'm not sure I can handle two-a-days and a full day in the sun with debris clearing.  I think the answer is to listen to my body and use the priority key you have in the workouts to jettison less important workouts if I need to do so, and just take one day-at-a-time. Your input/suggestions appreciated.

Oh and if you feel so inclined with the team donations to Red Cross disaster relief much appreciated.  Everywhere I go today I hear of people I know who lost everything, are hurt, or know someone who died.  Pretty sad.

  • Pat - thanks for sharing what's going on, the pictures and stories coming out of there are very very sad. If you want to, please feel free to make a note about donations to the charity forum. I am sure others will chime in.

In terms of your workouts, your plan a spot on: pick the party workout of the day and listen to your body. And maybe after a day or two you might need more rest than normal… Please take it. I can always fix too rested. :-)
