Hi, I'm in week 13 of 20 for  IMCDA on June 29, beginner IM plan.  I need to juggle around the workout schedule the next 3 weeks.  I need my long runs on Tues and my long bike on Thurs (that's when both kids are in school).  I can still do the bike/run on Sunday and on Sat  I will only have the afternoon to do a workout.  I just need some guidance on where the other workouts should go.  Also, I will need to change the schedule up again in 3 weeks due to kids out of school, but I will have a nanny to help me out.

Let me know if you need more info and if this all makes since!

  • Here's what I think. You should plan on swimming long on Monday, followed by long run on Tuesday. Wednesday is another long swim workout. Thursday is your long bike with the run if written. Friday is another swim with an option for a run of 45 minutes with strides. Saturdays are interval run workout, with a focus on recovery immediately afterwards. Then on Sunday I would do the regular Sunday work out as planned. What do you think?
  • I'm in week 15 of IMCDA training - camp week. I had my schedule all planned and was ready to go when my power meter stopped working correctly. I now have to send it to Quarq and will potentially be without it for at least a week, plus Monday is a holiday so maybe more. I can put my old crank on and still ride but should I try and push my camp week to week 16 or ride as usual with no power numbers. I'm just frustrated because I had my next couple of weeks scheduled with my husband, babysitter, kids schedules, etc. Thanks for the input.
  • Just ride. Don't worry about numbers right now...it's about steady riding in volume. We can get you synchronized on the way back! Good luck!
