Drop weight before A race?
Hi coach, My A race is August 9 Olympic distance at USAT Nationals. I lost 30 pounds since February 2013 and have plateaued at 143. I am only 5' tall. I am thinking that losing more weight would help my performance. My ideal race weight is 128-130. Do you recommend pushing to lose weight before my A race or wait until the season ends?

Congrats on your weight loss! Here are some thoughts for you regarding this topic. This is strategy I use (now) when I'm trying to make improvements in that area.
