Ok, I just dodged a race day tire flat bullet.
I was just doing some race day prep just now and was swapping out my rear tire for another one as the current one had a few small slashes in it. The tire I was going to replace it with had been used a little previously but was practically brand new. So, ok install tire and latex tube all is fine.. I start to pump it up and one I get to inflation pressure.. BLAMMMOO! Tire goes flat. Low and behold the tire had a side wall 3/4 inch slash that I hadn't noticed which cut through the sidewall is a very small pinhole spot causing the tube to blow.
New tire on the rear wheel for me!
If you haven't already, give your tires a once. twice and triple look over just to be safe; and or replace them entirely.
