How's it going? I'm writing to get some help reshuffling the design of my weeks that begin June 23 as I march towards IM Maryland as well as help with upcoming travel issues. Here goes...

I've relocated to Kona and am working temporarily in the labor field. I have long, hot, hard work days on Monday, Tursday and Thursday. I'm not saying I can't get workouts in on these days, but I'm wiped and need a few hours to hydrate and relax before I can get back out the door. I'm wondering if there's a way to reorganize the workouts during the weeks so that I can make the most of the days where I have more flexibility and energy.

Second issue is that I will be traveling from June 18-June 29 without access to a bike other than stationary bikes in gyms. This happens to come right at the start of my IM weeks. What do you recommend?

  • JENNY!!!!! Howzit? :) missed you....I say you bump weekends forward a day: sat bike on Friday, sun bike on Sat, long run on Sunday. Wednesday is your interval ride day with brick run. All the other days are swim workouts (after heat) with the potential for a short 30' bonus run if you can do it. We lose the interval run here but that's ok with me given your workload.

    For your travel, we just aim for 60' a day of aerobic stuff....even if just running. Find a pool, and get there so it's not all running. Its just 10 days!

    Did Jimmy tell you the story about those chicks in those tiny shorts?? I love that one... Hahahahanahahahahahahahahahahaha. #kidding
