Wetsuit chaffing

Sorry if this is in another location, but I did start looking, and to be honest I always get lost in reading other information (there is a ton of it here).  So I did an open water swim today and it felt great, but this was the second time I got jacked up on the back of my neck.  I usually use glide and have no problem.  However the first time I just used glide....that sucked.  This time I used duct tape and I still have a jacked up neck.  Any solutions would be greatly appreciated?

    Body Glide has always done the trick for me.

    I've had the same problem and used duct tape with varying success, body glide didn't work for me either, last time I didn't zip up the top all the way and used duct tape from head to upper shoulders, seemed to work, hoping someone else has other ideas for you and me image

    DeSoto two piece wet suits have no zipper @ the neck, therefore no risk of chafing. Snugger fit at the neck, as well, less water flowing through so a bit warmer.

    I'm with on this too. One thing I have found out with my suit, if I close the neck myself I will get the rash. If I have some chica close it for me telling her to make sure the flap is well below my neck, I don't have that problem.

    I like the idea that Al has and I didn't know Desoto offered that .... learned something new.

    One bad rash in salt water and I'm super careful to make sure all the neck parts are in the right place. I also use medical tape and body glide when I have it. It helps if I keep my head down. If I lift my head to sight a lot, the chafing is worse. I've seen people wearing a rash guard shirt. I've started wearing my kit underneath and haven't had a rash issue lately.

    I like the De Soto deal too. I will look into that, thanks Al. Yeah I willl have salt water on my race and I want to make sure this is not an issue. I did sight a bunch the last couple of times so maybe less sighting, thanks.
