Recommendations for pre-IMChatt HIM

As you know, IMChat will be a key race for us in 2015. I'm looking for recommendations for a pre-Chatt half Ironman, so that we can create a recommended "track" for IMChat athletes. For example:

OS > Swim Camp > GF > HIM plan > race XX 70.3 > IMChat Camp > IMChatt

Specifically, I'm looking for a half(s) in the May, June, very early July timeframe that would be easy travel (no flying) for the typical EN IMChatt-er who lives within driving distance of both IMChat and this pre-Chat HIM. 

Rev3 Knoxville is May 12th, I believe. This timing is ok, through I'd rather mid-June through early July so I can put you into the GF plan between OS and HIM plans.

Any help?

Rock n Roll Man Half Iron

Macon, about an hour (?) south of the ATL airport. just off of I-75 (I-475, specifically)

plenty of hotels in the area (most are low budget). plenty of areas to eat. Last weekend in May or first weekend of June.

hot. humid. rolling hills. no serious climbs but hump after hump. bike it the non-EN way and you can get comfy walking much of the run with your new friends named Cramps.

Storm the Fort in Kingston, TN (just north of Chattanooga) might be a good one. 2014 was the inaugral year for the half. It's mid-June and USAT sanctioned.
