Brakes

I'm looking for brake set recommendations for my P2.  The rear stock one is giving me trouble so I would like to replace them.  I like the TriRig Omega but not sure I want to invest that as I may be upgrading my bike next season. (fingers crossed)  Any recommendations from the team?

  • Truth is that for our bikes, good solid brakes are all you need. I had to replace my stock ones (also a Cervelo) a couple years ago, and bought some Ultegras because the LBS had them on sale. SRAM would have been fine, etc. If you are willing to drop the coin for hydraulics, then that's another matter. :-)
  • I have a Tririg Omega on my front and love it! If you sell your bike you could possibly transfer it, there is nothing like reassuring stopping power - not a place to be penny-wise IMHO. That said I do have a pair of New Shimano Ultegra 6800 Brakes that I got with my Di2 upgrade kit that I am not using, if you decide to go that route PM me and I can make you a deal.

  • Keep me in mind when you get ready to unload that cervelo. image by next year I may have my pennies saved up.

See you in Charleston for the next race.
  • @Mike PM sent.

@Ralph-I thought about you when I was considering an upgrade since you said you needed a 61. It's definitely going to be after IMCHOO. Get to the race early, its been crowded the last 2.
  • oh yeah, if you are going to sell it to me, go ahead and put the nice brakes on it. image
