  • Wow, Michele--doubled? You had it goin' on--and not in a good way. Unless one lives the reality of this, it's hard to explain how bad it can be when everything is off.

What I see that three of us did--me, Michele, and marianne--was to wait too darn long to go get checked out. Let's prod each other in the future, 'k? It's not like we'll run to the doc every week, but listening to the stories the three of us were telling--well, the outcome is as clear as day in retrospect. Let's try and stay ahead of this in the future b/c the flip side is horrible. I to am starting to feel like myself again, with a verve and enthusiasm I haven't had in a very long time. I could just weep with relief.

  • Agreed! I also have to admit that I really did not think that it was my thyroid. Until she mentioned that it had been 15 months since my last check. (VERY BAD PATIENT!!)
I am more interested in finding out if the cortisol improves. I do not believe that my life is stressful enough to have an elevation.
  •  Michele, no more waiting 15 months! Glad you are back on track

I picked up a book Friday night written by endocrinologist who focuses on thyroid. Only read a little, but so far I like it. Need to get into it more.
